The immune response creates antibodies that fight off foreign antigens by creating inflammation. An antigen is anything inside your body that is not you. For example, pollen, bacteria, virus, food, rocks, whatever.

Antibodies are immune response profiles that are created as a filter to combat against antigens. There are different antibodies for wheat, fish, etc. They are created the first time a negative response has been triggered against an antigen, and are present in your body in perpetuity thereafter.
