Unhealthy Enneagram levels require trauma or abuse

Title: Reaching Rewritten note: It seems remarkably difficult—almost hard-pressed—to find someone operating consistently at level 7 or below across any Enneagram type unless some form of abuse, trauma, or severe adverse experience has pushed them into that territory. In the absence of significant disruption or wounding, people rarely descend to those deeply unhealthy states on their own. The lowest levels appear to require an external or overwhelming force that overrides normal coping, rather than emerging simply from everyday fixation or weakness.

This observation reveals another asymmetry in Enneagram development, mirroring the upward side where the highest Enneagram levels 1 and 2 require letting go of the base fear.
