Flushed/pale skin - Blood flow is redirected to the muscles and organs, prepping to either fight or flee

A common physiological response to a threat is to increase the blood flow to muscles and organs. This is part of how Fight or flight responds to perceived threats.

A symptom of the increased blood flow is flushed face due to the increased blood flow to the area, or pale skin due to blood being directed to other areas of the body.
