In the The Legend of Zelda franchise, there is a recurring setting across games called the Lost Woods. They are typically shrouded in mystery, fog, danger and mischievous creatures. They also typically contain some kind of maze - or at least a form of organic non-intuitive path through them. Sometimes, they are called by something other than the Lost Woods, but if the themes and settings are similar, I think of them as part of the same group.
